Marilyn Balcombe - Question 1

Question 1 - The Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments projects that Montgomery County’s population will increase by 200,000 over the next 30 years. How should the county prepare for future growth?

Transcript: We know that the county’s gonna grow and we need to make sure that we accommodate that growth. We need to make sure that we have the transportation infrastructure, and of course the schools and the recreation and all the social services that go along with it, and to prepare for that we need to make sure that we have a robust economy to make sure that we have the jobs that we need and the tax base to pay for everything. And we also need to recognize that the Upcounty and down county are different when we start to plan for that growth. Thank you.
