Question 4: What does Montgomery County need to do to achieve Vision Zero, eliminating traffic deaths and serious injuries?

Transcript: Vision Zero is an important program in the county, but in District 5, we need to make sure we have Complete Streets. There are many neighborhoods in the Council District 5 that do not have sidewalk or crosswalks. As your Councilmember in my first term, I'm committing to building and creating 100 crosswalk and sidewalks so that it's safer for pedestrians to walk, especially when we have people crossing Route 29 into many of the shopping and dining areas. That is my commitment to reduce traffic deaths, but also make it safe for pedestrians to walk and bike in Montgomery County.
