Question 3: Over 40% of Montgomery County’s greenhouse gas emissions come from transportation. What policies and investments would you support to address this?

Transcript: Transportation is a top priority for me as a Councilmember, because not only it makes sense to get people faster to work, but also is good for our environment. As a councilmember, the specific program I would work on is to ensure that we expand our BRT system on New Hampshire Avenue, but also I will work with our neighboring Howard County to create a compact so that the Flash bus can start at Columbia Mall and go all the way down to downtown Silver Spring. That way we're removing more cars off the road, which will reduce our greenhouse gasses.
